Ropelight Outdoor Lights

I am looking for either white or warm white rope lights. I am using it to spell happy birthday in my friends yard. I need A LOT of it. Prob 150ft worth. I don't care if its used or new, but my price range is up to 90 bucks. Let me know if anyone knows of anywhere I can get these. i have rope lights in my room and i was wanting to try and convert them to neon lights. the rope lights are lights that plug into the wall and im wanting to use them as neon lights under my car. how can i change the 2 prong outlet plug in to something that attaches to my battery and somehow have a toggle switch to turn them on and off

I purchased a couple sets of rope lights at a rummage sale recently and I was told they are LED rope lights, but how can I be sure? I am on a really tight budget so I need to know if they are the energy savers I wanted. :)

I'm thinking about hanging some rope lights in my bedroom for ambient lighting on the walls close to the ceiling. Do these kinds of lights have heat issues or would they be a fire hazard?
