Where In The Hell Is The Switch For My Exterior Lighting?

So i just moved into a home that was built in 2002. I have two lights on each side of the garage in order to light up the driveway. I have put in nice new energy efficient bulbs and sometimes they turn on at night and sometimes they do not. WTF? I have literally walked around the house and turned on every switch at the same time to no avail. The lights in the backyard have switches and I know how to use those, I just flick them on and off, but the exterior garage lights are smarter than me. Th

Is There An Exterior Light Kit?

They make interior light kits for paper lanterns - and I would like to do something like this outdoors, in a gazebo that's fairly protected from rain. So I'm wondering if they make a kit like this for outdoors. The interior light kit consists of an electrical chord with plug on one end and a socket for the bulb on the other. Perfect to use with paper lanterns. Wanting to find one for use outdoors for a fixture we already have.

I'm a guy so don't ask me the what the designers call lighter brown. The decks are a dark brown. The house is a 'D' log and is stained with a light brown solid stain all over with dark brown fascia and soffits. Your thoughts? ty

I want to install a motion security light on the side of my house. I can go into the attic and tap into the wiring, I am wondering how exactly to wire it up. can I go in-line to a cord running to an outlet box for instance? I have looked for tutorials online but they only show how to wire a light into an existing wire box.
