We just moved into a apartment in a much hotter town. I have a 8 month old daughter and she gets so hot in her crib. I was looking to find a ceiling fan online to save money and have my husband take down the light fixture that already came in the apartment and put in the ceiling fan we purchase. My question is, is it really that easy or is there a lot of other factors that need to be considered? We have three identical fans. I only bought four of the bulbs (Feit Electric brand, Home Depot) at first because I wanted to try them out before outfitting all of the fans. LOVED the lights in the first fan; they were so much brighter (60 watt equivalent in the 40 watt max fixture). So now I've been trying to replace the ones in the other two fans. I have bought and returned more bulbs than I can remember now because they didn't work. Incandescents work fine, though, in the same socket.

I have a Hunter ceiling fan with three speeds and a light. The light has two bulbs. Today I turned on the light, and one bulb blew out. Since then, the remote has been unable to turn the light off and on. The remote is working fine on the fan. The switch can turn the light off and on. When I try to turn the light on with the remote, the red lcd light on the remote flashes, as if it was working, but it does not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
