I tried this product to keep beaver away from my pond drain. The beaver just ignored it.

5 Stars These have kept deer from my garden for 2 years
I bought a set of these after deer had eaten three plantings of corn and all my collards. Last summer they didn't touch the garden. The previous fall and winter we had greens all season. This summer, I moved the lights to the chicken house after a weasel killed ten young pullets, and the deer hit part of the greens patch, but haven't bothered it since I moved the lights back.

I bought set about a week ago. I have to say, I am impressed. I have many other solar lights in my gardens but these are to light pathway to my door. The light is more than than I had expected, I am buying another set. They are great!

1 Star Think twice before you invest in these
I bought 2 sets of these lights about 14 months ago. After spending an afternoon setting them up, including digging and laying the wires for them, I found that they were dimly lit after a few days of charging. They never got any better. In addition, one set quit working after the first month. The second set: 1/2 the lights (2) stopped working 11 months later. They are useless and a waste of my time, finances, and aggravating to boot. I am sure many people are happy with them. I have had no luck with them and will be investing in electric lights now.

Bought these last year but as we were moving, we only set them up recently. We're very pleased with them and plan to order another set, but they're now selling for twice as much as we bought them so we're waiting. They are very elegant and simple, the construction is solid and they look very pretty in our garden. They're a snap to install. We prefer the white-blue light to the yellow you often find with these lights. We did replace the batteries with others of better quality.

5 Stars Great Little Lights
We have bollard lights in front of our house. It was easy to run wiring and hook-ups there. The back of the house was more difficult. These solar lights were the perfect answer and the style matches what is in front...great! I followed others' recommendations to invest in more powerful batteries and to line the cylinder with aluminum foil. Super ideas. I was astonished that, after one day of sunshine, they lit up and have done so every night since.

3 Stars Not for accent lighting
The setup instructions were clear, and the product works well. But the amount of light from each fixture is minimal. These solar lights are good for guiding someone down a driveway, but not for accent or safety lighting.

3 Stars They aren't really *BRIGHT*
If you set your expectations low enough, you can be happy with these lights. But you have to be *reasonable*. Some people posted that these are as bright as electric lights, but I suppose those people are either crazy or working for the EWINS company. 8 LED bulbs is about the same as a 24 watt electric bulb, so these things are not super bright, except when compared with the 2 or 3 LED bulb solar lights. They are better than nothing, however, and certainly brighter than some solar spots in the same price range.

1 Star 2 Super Bright Solar Spot/Flood Lights NOT
While I should have realized that this technology is not perfected, I believed the hype. I have four issues: 1. The lights are not bright enough. 2. The batteries do not last the whole night even in Florida with all the sunshine. 3. You cannot return an opened item from this company so as soon as you open the product you own it, permanently. 4. Even if you do not open the item you will pay a 25% restock charge in addition to the return postage. Do yourself a favor pass this item and this company up.

1 Star Poor Quality
It worked great for a month and then died. The quality is poor and I would avoid it. It is a waste of money. I tried to get it fixed but that was a dead end. Look for a different solar light that is rated better than this.

1 Star great customer service, but poorly made product
As with the other posts, my first one worked until it rained. Once it rained, it began to blink on and off continuously. I had to manually turn it off. They sent me a second one and it worked great, until the next rain. It did the same exact thing, except only blink rapidly when motion was detected. I bought it at Lowe's and am out of the 90-day return policy. So I emailed the company for a refund letter to Lowe's, or a replacement so I can put one INSIDE my shed.

Ours lasted just over a year befor dying as others described. A shame. Good idea badly executed.

UPDATE!!!

The problem appears to be the battery. I replaced the Qualtek 4.0AH that was factory installed with a locally purchased 4.5AH of the same size. The unit is functioning perfectly now.

3 Stars worked for a while...
It worked great for about a year then started making very odd clicking noises and wouldn't work. I'm just assuming it's the battery. I thought of replacing it, but it's nearly impossible to order a replacement battery! Just nuts...

Same as the top worst review..."unit lasted 2 weeks then failed".

This light worked very well, then failed after two weeks. The relay works, click. The bulb is in tact...Nothing.

Amazon's return policy makes it cost prohibitive to send it back.
